In 2003 the library instituted a fine policy. Please note that fines and other policies apply to all categories of library patrons in order to be as fair as possible, e.g., faculty and staff are not excepted from fines.

 

It is our hope and expectation that faculty will return materials on time. We have very liberal renewal policies and library patrons can check the status of checked out items by logging in to their patron record on the catalog.

 

Materials purchased by the library with college funds are made available to the entire library community. Items that need to be purchased for the exclusive use of faculty should be purchased with departmental funds.  They will not be added to the library catalog.

 

Faculty may check out material for the semester if they so request at the time of checkout.  Alternatively, faculty might wish to place things on Reserve for the semester for class use. These items can have selective loan periods or may be designated for “in-library-use-only.” Faculty are expected to plan accordingly.
